These Langstroth beehives are made from Austrian spruce which makes them both light and durable. In Greece, honey producers move their bees on a regular basis and it is essential that the hives they use are very portable. These beehives weigh only 16 kilos (as pictured).

Hives can be painted or treated with bee friendly preservative. All Langstroth parts and frames are compatible with these hives.

Special features

Known the world over for producing excellent honey, Greece has introduced several innovations to the Langstroth beehives. The honey producers have found that by using hives with a narrower lid the hives attract less damp, obviously an advantage in the UK and other damp climates. However the usual dimension can be ordered if required. All beehives are fitted with plastic feet (to prevent damp from the ground being absorbed up and into the hive) and clips.
